What a busy summer so far. So much so that blogging has been on the back burner. Here we go on the catch up phase of my blog life. Starting off with the amzing James and Angelina Yoon!!! This wedding was beyond beautiful! All taking place up north In Angelina’s home town. The wedding day was followed by a beautiful Pae Beck ceremony  on Sunday (post tp follow)

I’ll start you with a fave shot of mine and then on to the story of their beautiful day.

The getting ready set for the girls (Angelina’s parents home) was more than amazing.

Angelina is so stunning. Every moment of her day was enjoyed by her and all around her.

Love all the colors in the wedding party! Beautiful ! Fun ! And it made it super easy to get their attention.. hope they didnt mind being called the color of their dress?

James was really rocking it with this awesome top hat!

And he is wearing these wings that Angelina made for him.

This is my fave shot of the day. I usually dont like the magazine looking shots.. but this one below remonds me of a super fun/happy group of young folks who declare themselves friends forever!!! I love all their happy faces.

Memeorial day weekend was extra fun this year. Not only did I get to shoot an amazing wedding in the Bay ares but I also got to revisit a spectacular KOA north of San Fransisco. Here are a few images to check out before the super sized Wedding post comes later today.

I am so excited that I get to see my Erin soon! and that she is giving me a neice this year! (maternity session to come in the next months) and that not only do I get to see her and get to have a new litttle baby in my life but that her and Adrian are moving to CA!!!! Also, I have ahad a few requests for the need of a wedding florist. Well, besides the amazing florists I all ready know and reffer all the time. I myself love doing flowers. (hand held and pinned – not so much on the reception/ceremony stuff.. yet) both images here by the awesome will over at parris studios

Her sweet look as she glances up to him as they stood across from me not asking for diretion or guidence as I adjusted my camera. His glance back down to her smiling slightly as he hears me say i’m just testing my light.. Those moments, the ones in between, when you don’ t think I’m taking the picture.. those are my favorites! I left this shoot with an abundance of images just like this. Perfectly imperfect. Not posed or overdone.. Beautiful, natural, real. Caroline compliments Robert just as he does her and I can’t believe that these two are getting married this month!!! Mostly because I can’t bring myself to look at the calendar page that is titled JUNE!! Also being that it seems like we just had our initial meeting, which reality proves, was months and ago! Caroline and Robert are planning a super sweet day at a location I can’t wait to shoot! But first I must share these beautiful images with you. It was an amazing day which led us to a few different cities. And of course my tracking down the LOVE wall in Fullerton again.  Starting off in Irvine where I captured the frist images.

Malibou Lake Mountain Club, with the wonderful Meredith keeping all perfectly in place, was an elegantly festive location! The 1920’s property has a history and holds emmense beauty.  We (Will of Parris Studios making me a we for the day) started off with some getting ready shots. Will headed over to the guys and I had the pleasure of documenting Leslie and her amazing friends add all the finnishing touches.

Starting wiht of course, one of my fave parts of the day… the dress. Leslie even had this super sweet little capped lace jacket hand made for her!

I love love love when couples see each other before the ceremony.

The day was teasing us with spots of sun all day. It decided to shine for the ceremony and geeezzzzzz, it was beautiful!

Leslie’s dad has such a proud look! And I remember hearing someone day “you’re gonna have to let go now” . It was too sweet!

 

 

So I decided to steal Will’s tilt-shift during the ceremony and so glad I did!

Jessica and Jay were married March 21, 2009 at the Puddingstone Resort in San Dimas . The day was beautiful ! It was a rather unique day for me to be shooting because Jessica and Jay hired me to shoot only their portraits. Which worked out perfect for me with family events happening in the evening. Of course they decided to see each other before the ceremony and I set up the first glance for them at the Claremont Colleges.

Here is the amazing smile Jay shared with Jessica as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

a few details:

The Wedding party met us at Puddingstone where the view was breath taking! Hill tops weddings are seriously beautiful. The Guys were a lot of fun to take pictures with. Jay has some great friends.

 The Ladies were stunning!!! So easy to photograph and really fun. I love this shot below.

I know this is a total candid getting adjusted shot.. but other than my b+g portraits this is my fave of the day:

Working with Will of Parris Studios is always so much fun. He always finds the coolest couples who are so easy going and full of life and of course in crazy crazy love! WE started at the same hotel where my sis Erin was getting ready for her wedding.. Those hallways were giving me flashbacks! Which brings me to a funny story. If you go check out Will’s blog you’ll see he has told on eof his own. Truth is, Grant was not being attacked by a piece of 70’s swimmer wall art, well he was but it wasnt unprovoked! Kyle was here just minding his own getting ready business and Mr. Parris had to pull this stunt you see below.. Thats when his brother-in-law, Grant, Jumpped in and gave the so called hip check.  The poor swimmer didnt know what was coming. You dont mess around with P.S. on a wedding day. I’m just glad the swimmer didnt go after Kyle.

 

“Kyle & Kirsty are legendary! Absolutely amazing people with such passionate hearts for change! Throw in the ridiculous good looks & awesome personality and it becomes the stuff of legends, fairy tales you tell your kids.” Will has versed them perfectly. It was an honor to get to know them and help document their day.

Kirsty had her vows saved on her iPhone which one of her bridesmaids transfer her to actual paper for the ceremony. I thought it would have been cooler if she had pulled it out on the iPhone and read them staight from there. I mean her nails totally match and her hubby works for apple!!!

  

This ceremony was the first time i actually cried… well cried alot. I was sniffley sniffy the whole time. The vows written by Kyle and Kirsty were so moving and entertaining. (promises to only fight naked) Love the humor and the creativity and the support you could feel from the entire group of friends and family they had with them.

I had to grab one from Will’s blog because the shots after it are more complete with it. I guess you can see my camera just between Kirsty and the bridesmaid to the right. And wyes to get this shot Will is in the OCEAN! thats dedication!

And from behind the scenes. I wasnt shooting when the water hit… I beleive I was checking what I had already and I heard the gasps and this is what I saw! Love the faces and the laughter!

 This cute little artwork was just laying there outside next to this adorable little girl! Perhaps she created it? She does have two rather talented parents. And at not yet 2 years old! WOW shes impressive!
